WEEKEND: CLASHES IN ISRAEL TURN DEADLY



-At least 12 people were killed in a series of weekend clashes as Palestinians mourn the birth of the Jewish state.
-IMF CHIEF CHARGED WITH SEX CRIME: Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund has been charged with a sexual assault for an alleged incident involving a hotel maid.
-AMERICAN SOUTH/MISSISSIPPI RIVER FLOOD: Thousands of homes are at risk after major spillway opens.

FRIDAY: 80 KILLED IN PAKISTAN ACADEMY BOMBING

-The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for two bombings at a paramilitary academy that killed at least 80 people. Taliban officials say it was to avenge Osama Bin Laden's death.
-MISSISSIPPI RIVER FLOODING/SPILLWAY MAY OPEN: Thousands are fleeing their homes in the American South as the Mississippi River flooding continues. Officials may open a strategic spillway by this weekend to save several cities.
-CAMPAIGN 2012/RON PAUL THROWS HAT INTO RING: Texas U.S. Rep. Ron Paul announces he's running for president in 2012.
-CAMPAIGN 2012/ROMNEY HITS BACK AT WSJ: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney slams the Wall Street Journal for attacking his healthcare policies and positions.
-CAMPAIGN 2012/HUCKABEE TO ANNOUNCE RACE PLANS: Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will announce his plans to run for president in 2012.
