COLBERT GETS FEDERAL OK: The Federal Election Commission has given Comedy Central comedian Stephen Colbert permission to use his television show to boost his political action committee, with conditions.

-HEALTHCARE LAW UPHELD: A federal appeals court has upheld the "individual mandate" in the controversial healthcare law, requiring nearly all Americans to buy health insurance.
-CAMPAIGN 2012/ROMNEY LEADS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE: A new survey of likely voters has former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney leading the pack in New Hampshire with U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann as a close second.

TUESDAY'S NEWS:
IMF NAMES NEW CHIEF

VIDEO EXTRA: AP report from May documenting the sex charges against former IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
-Christine Lagarde, the current finance minister of France, was named to the top post of the International Monetary Fund Tuesday. She is the first woman to hold that position. Lagarde replaces former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn of France, who left his post after being indicted on charges of sexual assault.
-VIOLENT PROTESTS IN GREECE: Police in riot gear fire tear gas against protesters standing against an austerity package vote in the Greek parliament.
-CAMPAIGN 2012/BACHMANN DOGGED BY "JOHN WAYNE" GAFF: U.S. Rep. and Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann has been hassled in recent days by a gaffe in which she compared herself to John Wayne of Waterloo, Iowa. The only John Wayne that lived there was serial killer John Wayne Gacy.

MONDAY'S NEWS:
-CAMPAIGN 2012/BACHMANN TAKES CAMPAIGN TO IOWA: U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann officially took her presidential campaign on the road to Iowa.
